By the dawn

[89:1] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



And [by] ten nights

[89:2] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



And [by] the even [number] and the odd

[89:3] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



And [by] the night when it passes,

[89:4] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?

[89:5] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -

[89:6] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,

[89:7] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



The likes of whom had never been created in the land?

[89:8] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?

[89:9] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -

[89:10] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

[89:11] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



And increased therein the corruption.

[89:12] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

[89:13] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

Sahih International



Indeed, your Lord is in observation.

[89:14] Al-Fajr (The Dawn - Daybreak)

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."
